Park/Neutral Position Switch

When gearshift lever is moved, shift control cable moves the manual control lever which operates Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch. The PNP switch delivers an input signal to PCM to indicate gearshift lever position. The PCM uses input signal and operates valve body solenoid valves to control transmission shifting. The PNP switch is mounted on transmission.
