Rear Crankshaft Oil Seal: Removal

  1. Remove transaxle/transmission. For A/T vehicles, see TRANSMISSION REMOVAL & INSTALLATION article in TRANSMISSION SERVICING. For M/T vehicles, see appropriate article in CLUTCHES.
  2. Remove flywheel or drive plate. Remove rear main oil seal case and gasket from rear of cylinder block. Remove oil separator and oil seal from seal case.
