Front Disc Brake Caliper: Disassembly

Remove caliper and brake pads. Place block of wood in caliper housing. Apply compressed air to fluid inlet or open bleeder fitting. Air pressure will force piston to extend to wood block and facilitate easy removal. Remove piston seal without damaging caliper bore or seal groove.
