Turbocharger Overhaul: Reassembly

  1. Coat new "O" ring with oil and carefully install into groove on cartridge assembly prevent damage to "O" ring. Align dowel pin on compressor cover with hole in cartridge assembly and install cartridge assembly onto compressor cover. Install snap ring with chamfered outer edge of snap ring facing away from compressor cover.
  2. Align dowel pin on turbine housing with hole in cartridge assembly and install compressor cover and cartridge assembly onto turbine housing. Tighten coupling. Supply clean engine oil through oil pressure pipe inlet hole in cartridge assembly.
