Removal (2.0L DOHC)

  1. Remove engine. See ENGINE . Remove oil pan. Remove front cover. See OIL PUMP & FRONT COVER .
  2. Pull counterbalance shaft(s) out of cylinder block. Using Bearing Puller (MIT304204 and MD998371), remove left and right front bearings.
    NOTE: Rear bearing(s) cannot be removed unless front bearings have been removed from block.
  3. Using Bearing Puller (MIT304204 and MD998372), remove right rear bearing. Using Bearing Puller (MIT304204 and MD998372) and Guide Plate (MD998374), remove left rear bearing.
