Removal (1.8L Eclipse)

  1. Remove front cover and oil pump. See OIL PUMP & FRONT COVER . Remove silent shafts from cylinder block. Inspect silent shaft bearings for damage and proper oil clearance.
  2. If bearings need replacing, use Bearing Remover (MD998282) for front bearing and (MD998283) for rear bearing.
