Reassembly & Installation (1.5L)

  1. Install the components in original location. Rocker arms are marked "1-3" for odd cylinders and "2-4" for even cylinders. See Fig 1. Install short springs on exhaust shaft and long springs on intake shaft.
  2. Install rocker arms in proper location. See Fig 1. To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure. Tighten rocker arm assembly retaining bolts to specification. Adjust valve clearance. See VALVE CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT  under VALVES.
