Disassembly & Inspection (Precis 1.5L)

  1. Using Spring Pliers (MD998309), compress spring and remove retainer lock, spring retainer and valve spring. Remove valve stem seals.
    CAUTION: Jet valve components must be reassembled in original body. DO NOT  mix jet valve components.
  2. Check jet valve head and seat for damage. Ensure valve slides smoothly in body without play. Check valve stem O.D. and valve spring free length and load. If not within specification, jet valve and body should be replaced as an assembly. See ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS  tables.
