Installation (Precis 1.5L)
- Install cylinder head using new gasket. DO NOT apply sealant to head gasket. Tighten bolts to specification in proper sequence. See Figure.
- Install timing belt on camshaft sprocket in original location. Ensure all timing marks are aligned and adjust timing belt. See TIMING BELT under CAMSHAFT. To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure.
NOTE:
On Mirage 1.5L applications, cylinder head can be removed with intake and exhaust manifolds installed on cylinder head. Fuel pressure must be released prior to disconnecting fuel lines.
