Installation (Mirage 1.6L)

  1. Install cylinder head using new gasket with identification mark toward timing belt side and facing upward. See Figure. DO NOT  apply sealant to head gasket. Install head bolts and washers. Washers must be installed in proper direction. See Figure.
  2. Tighten bolts to specification in proper sequence using 2 steps. See Figure. To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure.
  3. Apply sealant to proper areas of semi-circular packing and rocker cover sealing areas. See Fig 1. Apply gasoline to "O" ring on fuel line prior to installing fuel line in delivery pipe. Adjust all control cables.
