Removal (1.5L)

  1. Remove rocker arms and shafts. See ROCKER ARM SHAFT ASSEMBLY. Remove timing belt and camshaft sprocket. See TIMING BELT  under CAMSHAFT.
  2. Remove camshaft thrust case retaining bolt. See Figure. Remove rear cover, gasket, thrust plate bolt, thrust plate, camshaft thrust case, camshaft and oil seal from cylinder head. See Figure.
