Installation (1.5L)

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Install camshaft thrust case with threaded hole facing upward toward top of cylinder head and aligned with bolt opening of cylinder head. Install thrust case retaining bolt.
  2. With camshaft installed, coat camshaft seal contact surface with engine oil. Using Seal Installer (MD998306), install oil seal in cylinder head. To install remaining components, reverse removal procedure. Adjust valve clearance. See VALVE CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT  under VALVES.
