Removal (2.0L DOHC)

  1. Remove timing belt and gears as previously described. Pull counterbalance shaft(s) out of cylinder block. Using Bearing Puller (MIT304204), remove front bearings.
    NOTE: Rear bearing(s) cannot be removed unless the front bearings have been taken out of block.
  2. Using Bearing Puller (MIT304204) with Adapter (MD998372-01), remove right rear bearing. Using Bearing Puller (MIT304204) with Guide Plate (MD998374-01) and Adapter (MD998372-01), remove left rear bearing.
