Counterbalance Shafts & Bearings: Installation

  1. Using Bearing Installer (MB990938-01) with Guide Plate (MD998374-01) and Adapter (MD998373-01), install rear bearings.
  2. Using Bearing Driver (MB990938-01) and Adapter (MD998373-01), install front bearings. Ensure that oil hole in bearing is aligned with oil hole in cylinder block. (5-7 mm). Install camshaft and oil pump sprocket.
NOTE: The left rear bearing does not have oil holes.
