Camshaft (1.5L): Inspection
- Check cam lobes for wear or damage. If exhaust cam lobe height is less than 1.522" (38.65 mm), replace camshaft. If intake cam lobe height is less than 1.480" (37.58 mm), replace camshaft.
- Check camshaft bearing journals for damage, wear or seizure. Check camshaft bearing surface for damage, wear or seizure. Replace cylinder head if bearings are worn excessively. Check front oil seal lips for wear. Replace seal if worn.
