Piston Pin Service

Check piston bore fit. Pin should press in smoothly by hand at room temperature. When assembling, apply engine oil to outside of pin and to piston pin bore. Position rod to piston with identification mark upward. Align pin with installer, and press pin into piston and rod.

NOTE: Pin-to-rod fit at normal temperature requires 1102-3306 lbs. (500-1500 kg) to press pin through rod.
