Engine - CORDIA, GALANT, TREDIA: Installation

NOTE: Replace drive axle shaft retainer ring each time drive axle shaft is removed.

1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure arrow on mounting stopper of engine mount bracket faces center part of engine. Ensure front roll stopper bracket identification hole faces front of body.
2. On Galant models, check insulator clearance before engine weight is applied to front and rear roll stoppers. Temporarily tighten front roll stopper bracket. Center hole of insulator to lower edge of bracket should be 1.8-2.0" (46.7-52.7 mm). See Fig 1. Temporarily tighten rear roll stopper bracket. Insulator clearance should be.23-.35" (6-9 mm). See Fig 2.
3. On all models, tighten all mounting nuts and bolts to specification. Adjust transaxle control cable and throttle cable.
