Valve Arrangement
- Left Side - Intake and Jet.
- Right Side - Exhaust.NOTE: Jet valve clearance adjustment must be made before intake valve is adjusted and after cylinder head is retightened. 2.0L, 2.4L engines are equipped with hydraulic valve adjusters. No adjustment is possible.
- Remove valve cover and position cylinder No. 1 at TDC of compression stroke. Adjust clearance on valves marked "A". See Fig 1.
- Position cylinder No. 4 at TDC of compression stroke. Adjust valves marked "B". See Fig 1. After completing adjustment, check idle speed and readjust if necessary.
