Temperature Gauge

  1. Disconnect wiring connector from water temperature gauge from inside engine compartment. Install a test light between the terminal from connector and ground. 2 Turn ignition switch to "ON" position. Ensure that test light illuminates and gauge illuminates on the "H" (Hot) of LCD gauge.
  2. If gauge tests okay, remove sending unit and place in hot water. The unit should be placed so that the sensing area is .12" (3 mm) from the surface of the water. Resistance should be 104 ohms at 158°F (70°C).
