Rear Suspension Assembly: Disassembly
- Before fixtures are removed, make alignment marks on fixtures and suspension arms for reference at reassembly.
- On vehicles equipped with stabilizer bar, put aligning mark on each end of stabilizer bar in alignment with punch mark on stabilizer bar bracket, before disassembling suspension.
- Remove nuts at both ends of suspension arm to remove fixtures and rubber bushings. Remove dust cover clamp. Separate suspension into right and left arms. Remove stabilizer from bracket. Leave dust cover attached to right suspension arm to protect lip from damage.
- Remove rubber stopper from right arm. Remove bushing "A" with a cold chisel and hammer. Working through small hole at end of arm, punch bushing "B" out of arm with a drift and hammer. See Fig 1 .
