Piston Pins

NOTE: Identification mark on connecting rod faces toward front of engine.

Check pin fit in piston bore without rod. At room temperature, pin should press in smoothly by hand. When assembling, apply engine oil to outside of pin and to piston pin bore. Position rod and piston marks (indicating front) upward. Align pin with installer and press pin into piston and rod.

NOTE: Pin-to-rod fit at normal temperature will require 1,653-3,858 lbs. (750-1,750 kg) to press piston through rod.
