All Models (Except Cordia and Tredia)

  1. Unplug temperature sender wire at sending unit. Connect a 24-ohm resistor between wire and ground. Gauge should indicate 240°F (115°C). In a similar manner, connect a 104-ohm resistor. Gauge should read 158°F (70°C).
  2. If gauge tests okay, remove sending unit and place in hot water. Sender should be placed so that its sensing part is .12" (3 mm) from surface of water. Resistance should be as shown in TEMPERATURE GAUGE RESISTANCE  .
