Fuel Gauge: Notes
- Disconnect fuel gauge sending unit wire at fuel tank. Connect appropriate resistor between wire and ground. Gauge should read as indicated in FUEL GAUGE RESISTANCE .
- If the resistance measured is excessively high or low, the coil is probably defective and gauge replacement is recommended.

NOTE:
Grounding wire too long can damage gauge coils. Perform test as quickly as possible.
