Securing the steering shaft at the bottom on the steering gear

Clean the screw thread in universal joint to remove all remnants of screw locking agent.
Swivel the universal joint (2) in arrow direction onto the steering gear.
Replace the screw (1).

Tighten down screw (1).

TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Lower steering shaft to steering gear
M10 Clean screw thread and remove remains of screw locking agent. Replace screw.	Tightening torque	28 Nm

Tighten nuts (1).

TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

Steering column cover panel to firewall
Plastic nut	Tightening torque	3 Nm
