Install the charge air duct between the exhaust turbocharger and the charge air cooler
NOTE:
RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage to the exhaust turbocharger .
A leak at the pressure pipe can damage the exhaust turbocharger .
Damage to the exhaust turbocharger .
A leak at the pressure pipe can damage the exhaust turbocharger .
- Replace the gaskets and pressure pipe if necessary.
- Check sealing ring (1) for damage; if necessary, replace sealing ring (1).

Replacing the damaged seal

Use of sharp or pointy tools for installation or removal is prohibited.

- Remove damaged seal.
- Clean the gasket groove (1) with a dry cloth.
The gasket groove (1) must be clean.
- Replace gasket.

- Install the seal dry without lubricant or mounting agent.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Incorrect assembly is possible. Ensure correct installation position. - Thread in seal and install.
- Make sure that the seal is installed correctly in the gasket groove (1).
- Make sure that the sealing lip (2) is directed to the inside as shown.
- Detach locks (1) from the holders in the arrow direction.
- Ensure that locks (1) engage audibly.
- Guide in and install pressure pipe (1) in the arrow direction.
- Feed in and install the pressure pipe (1) at the exhaust turbocharger in the arrow direction.
The locks (2) must engage audibly.
- Inset and install the pressure pipe (1) on the charge air cooler.
- Ensure that the pressure pipe (1) audibly engages on the charge air cooler.
- Tighten down screws (1).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Pressure pipe to oil pan M6x35 8Nm - Insert and install the line (2).
