Installing replacement transmission (6-speed, AISIN GA6F21AW) (Cooper Clubman base FWD)

IMPORTANT: Transmissions are filled with fluid. Oil level does not have to be compensated!

Only in the event of discernible external damage to replacement transmission or discernible oil leakage from replacement transmission - check OIL LEVEL .

After completing work:

Use only the approved automatic transmission oil: ATF6 (BMW/MINI part number 83 22 2 355 599).
Reset adaptation values.
Perform clutch and gear ratio adaptation.

Failure to comply with this requirement will result in serious damage to the automatic transmission!

Recycling:

Catch and dispose of leakage transmission oil.

Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations

Preliminary work needed:

Remove AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (without wheel alignment!).

Remount following parts.

Converter, transportation retainer (1).
Remount holder for shift cable

Carry out VEHICLE PROGRAMMING/CODING .
