Removing and installing/replacing vibration damper (B36 engine) (Cooper base)

Special tools required:
- 11 8 180
- 2 288 159
Preliminary work needed:
- Remove FRONT UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
- Remove THRUST FIELD .
- Remove FRONT RIGHT WHEEL ARCH COVER .
- Remove DRIVE BELT .
Removal:
Undo the transmission bolts (1).
Remove protective cap (2).
Prepare special tool 11 8 180/1 with special tool 11 8 180/3, 11 8 180/4 and 2 288 159.
Fix the special tool 11 8 180 with the housing screws.
Slide the special tool 2 288 159 in the transmission housing and fix the flywheel.
Tighten down all screws.
Slacken all screws on the vibration damper (1).
Remove vibration damper (1).
Installation:
Position vibration damper (1).
Tighten down all screws.
Tightening torque 11 23 1AZ .
Undo the Torx screws.
Remove special tool 11 8 180 with 2 288 159.
Tighten down Torx screws (1).
Tightening torque 23 00 1AZ .
Mount protective cap (2).
Required reworking:
- Install DRIVE BELT .
- Install FRONT RIGHT WHEEL ARCH COVER .
- Install THRUST FIELD .
- Install FRONT UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
