Removing and installing/replacing left engine compartment lid lock. (Cooper Convertible)

Preliminary work needed:

Remove TOP CONNECTION .

Removal:

Open end cover (1) in front left wheel arch by turning counterclockwise.

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Feed out lock (2).

Detach cable (1) and remove lock.

Installation:

Attach cable (1).

Feed in lock (2).

Connect plug connection (1).

Close end cover (1) in front left wheel arch by turning clockwise.
