Removing/installing/replacing center trim (Cooper Convertible)

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Paint damage.
Mechanical action can lead to paint damage.

Mask those working areas at risk with yellow plastic adhesive tape.
Remove and install heavy or bulky components with the aid of another person/other persons.

Preliminary work needed:

Remove middle front RADIATOR GRILLE .

Removal:

Release the detents (1) and remove cover (2).

For replacement:

Remount LICENSE PLATE .

Installation:

The detents (1) on cover (2) must not be damaged.

Engage cover (2) in the detents (1).

Required follow-up work:

Install center RADIATOR GRILLE .
