Checking fuel delivery pressure
Special tools required:
- 13 5 270
- 11 4 310
- 11 5 364
- 13 3 060
Wear safety goggles and gloves.
Gas can emerge spontaneously at high velocity when the fuel line is released!
Recycling:
Catch and dispose of leakage fuel with auxiliary materials.
Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations.
Preliminary work needed:
- Connect MINI diagnostic system to the appropriate scan tool.
- Remove ACOUSTIC COVER .
Installing special tool:
Unfasten fuel line (1) and disconnect.
Catch and dispose of leakage fuel with auxiliary materials.
Unscrew adapter (1) from special tool 13 5 270.
Insert special tool 13 5 270 into disconnected fuel line.
Screw onto special tool 13 5 270, the special tool 11 4 310.
Screw the 11 4 310 IMIB 100 bar pressure sensor (1) onto the special tool (In) .
Establish fuel delivery pressure. Read the fuel delivery pressure on the In and compare it with the values in the MINI diagnostic system using an appropriate scan tool.
Removing special tool:
On completion of measurement, disconnect and remove special tool 13 5 270.
Catch and dispose of leakage fuel with auxiliary materials.
Connect fuel line (1).
Fuel line (1) must audibly engage.
Required follow-up work:
- Check fuel system for leak tightness.
- Install ACOUSTIC COVER .
