Removing and installing/replacing backrest frame for left or right rear seat

The seat frame has very sharp edges that can cause injuries from cuts.

Exercise extreme caution and wear work gloves as required when carrying out any repair work in the area of the seat frame.

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove left or right REAR PANEL  on rear seat backrest
• Remove GUIDE SLEEVES  for left or right head restraint

Removal: 

Lever out welt (1).

Feed out backrest frame (1) from seat cover and remove.

Replacement: 

Remount LOCK  for rear seat backrest.

Installation: 

Feed in backrest frame (1) into seat cover.

Attach welt (1).

Required reworking: 

• Install left or right REAR PANEL  on rear seat backrest
• Install GUIDE SLEEVES  for left or right head restraint
