Removing fuel delivery line
Preliminary work
- Refer to DEACTIVATING VEHICLE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Refer to REMOVING THE ACOUSTIC COVER .
WARNING:

- When working on the fuel system, make sure the workplace has sufficient ventilation, e.g., by means of extraction.
- Tightly seal off open lines and connections; collect any leakage fuel directly at the point of exit.
- No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.
CAUTION:
On releasing high pressure line, fuel may emerge at high speed.

- Wear suitable personal protective equipment.
- Before performing any installation work, allow cooling system to cool down to less than 40°C.
- Note warnings on cylinder head cover.

- Adhere to the utmost cleanliness.
- Protect components from contamination e.g. by covering.
- Close off line connections with seal plugs.
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Collect and dispose of emerging fluids. Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations.

- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Guide out and remove the sound insulation (2)
.
- Unlock and release fuel line (1) .
- Catch and dispose of leakage fuel.
- Loosen union nut (2) .
- Catch and dispose of leakage fuel.
- Make sure that the ignition coils do not touch the fuel, cover if necessary.
- Loosen screws (3) .
- Make sure the rubber damper (4) does not get lost.
- Guide the fuel supply line (5) out and remove.
- Close all openings with the special tool 2 413 106.
