51 22 280 Removing and installing/replacing the door check on the left or right rear door (Cooper 4-door hatchback models, 2020-2023)

Preliminary work needed:

Partly remove SOUND INSULATION

Removal:

IMPORTANT: After disengaging door stop, use suitable means of preventing door from opening past its maximum permissible opening angle (risk of damaging paintwork or bodywork).

Feed out gasket (1) from screws (3).

Remove screw (2).

Loosen screws (3).

Guide door stop (1) out of door.

Installation:

Feed in door stop (1) into the door.

Tighten down screws (3).

Tightening torque 51 22 5AZ .

Tighten screw (2).

Tightening torque 51 22 4AZ .

Install gasket (1) from screws (3).
