Installing the transmission (when replacing)
- Read the adaptation value from the rotor position sensor (3) on the type plate (2) of the new electrical machine (1).
Type plate (2) is located on the lower side of the electrical machine (1).
- Read the new adaptation value from the rotor position sensor (3) while adjusting the rotor position sensor (3) via the diagnostic system.
- Cleaning
- Remove the grease with a lint free cloth from the hub of the rotor shaft (1).
- Introduce cleaning agent into the hub of the rotor shaft (1).
- Drag grease with light brush strokes from inside to outside.
- Carefully blow out grease residue with compressed air.
- Re-lubrication
- Apply GE grease (part number 83 23 2 357 146).
- Empty the grease tube completely and apply a grease quantity to the hub of the rotor shaft (1).
- Do not grease the gearing!
When the transmission is joined with the electrical machine, the grease is distributed uniformly on the connection.
- Screw the special tool 2 285 545 into the electrical machine.
- Clean the transmission input shaft (1).
- Remove the existing grease completely without fail!
- If necessary completely remove the corrosion from the transmission input shaft (1) with a suitable wire brush.
- Check the radial shaft seal (4) of the drive shaft for tightness and replace if necessary!
- Replace the O-ring (2) and sealing ring (3) at every removal and installation of the transmission without fail.
- Place the O-ring (1) on the special tool 2 285 547
.
- Slide the guide sleeve (1) and spread the O-ring.
- Slide on the special tool 2 285 547 on to the transmission input shaft.
- Strip the O-ring (1) off the guide sleeve in the guiding groove.
- Light coat the O-ring (1) all around with grease GE (part number 83 23 2 357 146).
Check
- After installation, the O-ring (1) must be in the depicted position.
Result
» After installation, the O-ring (1) is not in the depicted position.
Measure
- Correct the position of the O-ring (1).
- Release the sealing ring (1) with the suitable tool from the groove.
- Do not damage the groove!
- Clean the groove.
- Remove the existing grease completely.
- Lightly coat the sealing ring (1) with GE grease (part number 83 23 2 357 146) all around.
- Install the sealing ring (1).
- Replace all bolts.
