The use of metal-cutting tools (e.g., emery cloths) for cleaning surfaces can damage them and lead to leaks and/or engine damage
- Do not use any metal-cutting tools.
- Remove oil and dirt residue from the blind holes (1)
.
- Check the fitting sleeves (1)
for secure fit and damage.
- Identify the cylinder head gasket (1)
using the part number.
If the cylinder head is reworked, then a 0.3 mm thicker seal is available for the service.
- Replace cylinder head gasket.
Parts: Cylinder head gasket
- Thread in cylinder head gasket (1) and install.
- Make sure that the cylinder head gasket (1) is installed correctly in the fitting sleeves (2) .
