Remove right charge-air duct

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
• Refer to REMOVING FRONT RIGHT WHEEL .
• Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT RIGHT WHEEL ARCH COVER .

• Loosen the screws (2) on the adapter of the front subframe, right.
• Drill out the blind rivets (1) of the cross connection, right.

• Loosen the screws (2) on the adapter of the front subframe, left.
• Drill out the blind rivets (1) of the cross connection.

• Unlock the left and right locking mechanisms (1) and remove the locking mechanisms (2).
• Remove cross connection (3).

• Unfasten the screws (1) on the right front axle support.

• Loosen screws (1) of the charge air duct on the oil pan.

• Unlock the locking mechanism (1) on the exhaust turbocharger and on the charge air cooler.
• Let the lock (1) engage at the holder (arrow).

• Unfasten lock (1) of charge air line on the exhaust turbocharger.
• Pull the charge air line (2) off the exhaust turbocharger.

• Ensure the locking mechanism (1) is unlocked on both sides of the charge air cooler.
• Detach charge air duct from charge air cooler.

• Pull the adapter of the front subframe (1) downwards to the front right.
• Guide out charge air line (2) on charge air cooler downwards in the marked area.

• Slide the charge air line (1) downwards.
• Feed out the upper section of the charge air line (1) between the side member and the deformation element.
• Remove the charge air line (1) through the wheel well.
