Removing the front crankshaft seal
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING INTAKE PORT .
- Refer to REMOVING INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .
- Refer to REMOVING CROSS CONNECTION .
- Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT UNDERBODY PROTECTION .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT RIGHT WHEEL .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT WHEEL ARCH COVER .
- Refer to REMOVING DRIVE BELT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE VIBRATION DAMPER .
- Drive in the crankshaft seal (1) in the marked area with a punch to approx. 1 cm deep.
- Lever out the crankshaft seal (1) with a suitable tool.
- Make sure that the sealing surface on the engine block is not scratched.
