Installing the intake plenum
- Replace seals (1).
Parts: Seals
- Align the intake plenum by means of the guides (2) with the cylinder head.
- Insert the intake plenum (6) and install it.
- Position the intake plenum (6).
- Tighten the screws in the sequence (1), (2), (3), (4), (5).
- Tighten the screws in the sequence (1), (2), (3), (4), (5).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Intake plenum to cylinder head
Observe tightening sequence.M6 Tightening torque 10Nm - Check seal (1) for damage and replace seal (1) as needed.
Parts: Gasket
- Detach locks (1) from the holders in the arrow direction.
- Connect and lock connector (1) on the boost pressure sensor.
- Connect and lock the connector (2) on the throttle valve.
- Make sure that the connector (1) and (2) engages audibly.
- Connect the pressure pipe (3) on the throttle body and lock.
- Make sure the pressure pipe (3) engages audibly at the throttle body.
- Thread in cable channel (1) and install.
- Make sure that the locks (arrows) engage audibly.
- Guide the fuel delivery line (2) in and install.
- Tighten down screws (1).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Fuel delivery line to cylinder head cover M6x18 tightening torque 7Nm - Secure the coolant line (1) to the holder (2).
- Connect and lock connector (1) on the boost pressure sensor.
- Make sure the connector (1) engages audibly at the boost pressure sensor.
- Insert and install the wiring harness (3).
- Secure clamps (2).
- Connect the connector (1) to the Valvetronic controller and lock it.
- Make sure the connector (1) engages audibly.
- Clip in the wiring harness (2) on the intake plenum.
- Clip in the positive battery cable of the alternator (3) on the intake plenum.
