41 62 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING TRUNK LID REP-REP-RAF6041-4162000 - V.1 (Countryman 2017-2023, except PHEV)

For stripping and rebuilding operations, refer to surrounding texts on KSD (FRU number 41 62 000).

Necessary preliminary work 

• Remove the REAR SPOILER .
• Remove TAILGATE TRIM PANEL .
• Disconnect all plug connections on the trunk lid.
• Feed out vehicle wiring harness from the trunk lid.
• Remove the left and right SPINDLE DRIVE .

Removal 

Close trunk lid. The tailgate lock must not engage!

Release screws (1) on both sides.

Remove trunk lid.

Installation 

Protect tailgate lock against engagement.

Install trunk lid at screw locations on hinge.

Tighten screws (1) on both sides.

Tightening torque 41 62 1AZ .

If necessary, adjust TRUNK LID .

Required follow-up work: 

• Install the left and right SPINDLE DRIVE .
• Feed in the vehicle wiring harness into the trunk lid.
• Connect all plug connections on the trunk lid.
• Install the TAILGATE TRIM PANEL .
• Install REAR SPOILER .
• If reversing camera optional equipment installed: 

  Calibrate REVERSING CAMERA .
