33 52 161 Replacing left or right support bearing for shock absorber (Countryman 2017-2023, except PHEV)

Special tools required:

NOTE: Special procedure for EDC SHOCK ABSORBERS .

Preliminary work needed:

Removal:

Remove protective cap (1).

Remove gasket (2).

Use special tools 2 355 965 and 2 355 966 to undo the nut (1).

Remove spring strut mounting (2).

Impact screwdrivers are prohibited!

Risk of damage inside the shock absorber!

Installation:

Place new support bearing on shock absorber.

Screw on nut (1) and tighten with special tool 2 355 965 and 2 355 966.

Part: Replace nut (1).

Tightening torque 33 52 3AZ .

Impact screwdrivers are prohibited!

Risk of damage inside the shock absorber!

NOTE: Seal (2) can be omitted and does not have to be reinstalled!

Remove protective cap (1).

Check protective cap (1) for damage.

Part: Replace protective cap (1) if necessary.

Mount protective cap (1).
