Removing The Rear Left Side Panel

Mark the separating cut (1) on the D-pillar according to the dimensions and cut. Disconnect only the outer panel.
Compare position of severance cut with reinforcement plate.
Dimension = approximately 48 mm from the center of the hole Ø 4 mm.

Determination of separating cut using a template
Determine position of the severance cut in addition to the dimensions with the aid of a template (1).

Mark the separating cut (1) on the water channel according to dimensions and cut. Disconnect only the outer panel.
Dimension = approximately 80 mm below the D-pillar separating cut.
Open welded connections in area (2).

Mark the separating cut (1) on the C-pillar according to the dimensions and cut. Disconnect only the outer panel.
Dimension a = 135 mm below the component edge of the roof outer skin.

Mark the separating cut (1) on the door sill as shown and cut. Disconnect only the outer panel.
Compare position of severance cut with reinforcement plate.
