34 52 250 Removing and installing/replacing optional equipment system control unit (SAS control unit) (Countryman 2017-2023, except PHEV)

NOTE: The optional equipment system (SAS) is a control unit in which the functions of the suspension control systems and the assistance systems are integrated.

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD PROTECTION) !

Preliminary work needed :

Disconnect battery ground lead.
Remove right trunk wheel arch panel.

Removal :

Loosen screws (2).

Unlock and disconnect plugs (1).

Remove SAS control unit (3).

Installation :

Connect and lock connector (1).

Position SAS control unit (3).

Tighten down screws (2).

Tightening torque 34 51 6AZ .

Required follow-up work :

Install right trunk wheel arch panel.
Connect battery ground lead.
Replacement only: Perform the PROGRAMMING/CODING .
