Remove roller sun blind
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVE FRONT GLASS SLIDE/TILT SUNROOF PANEL .
- Refer to REMOVE GLASS SLIDE/TILT SUNROOF PANEL AT REAR .
NOTE:
Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Detach the strip (1) on the detent (2) from the slider (3).
- Slide the roller sunblind (1) to dimension (X).
Dimension (X) is approximately 170 mm.
- Make sure that the opening (2) for the holding fixture is easy to see.

- Hold down roller sunblind.
- Apply maximum tension simultaneously to the left and right cables and hold them in this position.
The roller sunblind must not jump out of the guides (arrows).

RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage to the sun blind rollers.
The preloaded spring of the electrically motorized reel will detach when the roller sunblind is not disconnected.

- Disconnect the roller sunblind with a suitable tool with Ø 2 mm.
- Shift both cables back slowly until the (1) holding fixture can be inserted completely.
The left side must be detached for the front roller blind.
The right side must be detached for the rear roller blind.
- Check the holding fixture (2) for secure fit.
- Detach the cable linkage (1) from the idler pulley (2).
- Hold both cables (1) with tension and secure them on the strip with adhesive tape (2).
Do not detach the cable linkages in area (A) from the roller sunblind.
- Detach the roller sunblind from the holder at an angle.
Do not pull the roller sunblind straight toward the top out of the holder.
- Carefully twist the strip (1) out of the rail and guide out and remove the roller sunblind completely.
