51 16 165 Removing and installing/replacing complete center console (Countryman 2017-2023, except PHEV)

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove both SIDE COVERS ON CENTER CONSOLE .

Removal: 

Release the trim (1) on the clamps (2).

Slip off trim (1) downwards.

Unlock associated plug connections and disconnect.

Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.

If applicable, detach the associated cable clip from the center console.

Unscrew nuts (1).

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Unscrew the screws (2).

Release screws (1) on left and right.

Raise the center console and disconnect the associated plug connections as needed.

Remove the center console.

Installation: 

Insert the center console.

Connect associated connector.

Tighten the screws (1) on the left and right.

Tightening torque 51 16 10AZ .

Connect the connector (1).

Tighten down screws (2).

Tightening torque 51 16 7AZ .

Tighten down nuts (1).

Tightening torque 51 16 10AZ .

Connect the connector (1).

If applicable, attach the associated cable clips on the center console.

Connect associated connector.

Slip on trim (1) upwards from below.

Attach the trim (1) on the clamps (2).
