Removing and installing/replacing left (rear) suspension cross-brace (Countryman 2017-2023, except PHEV)

IMPORTANT: Driving without the strut brace is not permitted! (risk of damage to the body).

Preliminary work needed:

Remove WINDSHIELD PANEL COVER (rear)
Removal:

Remove screw (1).

Slacken nut (2).

Remove suspension cross-brace (3).

Installation:

Install strut brace (3).

Tighten nut (2).

Tightening torque 51 61 2AZ .

Tighten screw (1).

Tightening torque 51 61 3AZ .

NOTE: Make sure suspension cross-brace (3) is in correct installation position.
