51 34 420 Detaching and attaching/replacing window frame trim of rear door (front) on left and right (Countryman 2017-2023, except PHEV)
The INSTRUCTIONS ON INSTALLATION OF RUBBER WINDOW SEALS serve as the basis for these repair instructions and must be observed without fail.
Preliminary work needed:
- Open rear window
- Remove WINDOW CHANNEL STRIP FROM REAR DOOR .
Removal:
Pull rubber window seal (1) out of the window guide.
Detach rubber seal (2) from window frame trim (3).
Unscrew the screws (1).
First slide window frame trim (2) down slightly and then feed out from door.
Installation:
Thread in window frame trim (2).
Correctly position window frame trim (2) at top rubber window seal.
Tighten down screws (1).
Tightening torque 51 35 1AZ .
Connect rubber seal (2) to window frame trim (3).
Coat rubber window seal (1) with LUBRICANT and feed into window guide.
NOTE:
Make sure that the rubber window seal (1) and rubber seal (2) are fitted correctly on the window frame trim (3).
Required follow-up work:
- Close rear window
- Install WINDOW CHANNEL STRIP ONTO REAR DOOR .
