Replace bumper cover, front

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER .

• Removing the ornamental grille from the front bumper cover at top center 

• Loosen screws (2).
• Unclip in the ornamental grille at the detents (1).

  • Remove the ornamental grille in the lower center of the front bumper cover  .
• Release the ornamental grille (1) at the detents along the dashed line and remove.

  • Removing the trim on the front bumper cover 
• Release trim (1) at the detents along the dashed line and remove.

  • Remove both supports for the fog lights 
  NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

  Remove support for the front fog lamp 

• Unclip the cable clip on the support (1) as needed.
• Loosen screw (2).
• Loosen the expanding rivet (3).
• Detach support (1) at the detents (arrow) and remove.

  • Removing the trim for the air duct on the left and right 
  NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

  Removing the trim for the air duct 

• Release the trim (1) at the detents (arrows) and remove.

  • Replacement: Remount ultrasonic sensors 
• Unlock the detents (1).
• Remove the ultrasonic sensor (2) towards the top.
• Remove all other ultrasonic sensors.
• Snap all ultrasonic sensors into the bumper.

  • Installing the trim for the air duct on the left and right 
  NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

• Check the detents (arrows) for damage, replace the trim (1) if necessary.

• Install the trim (1) and engage into the detents (arrows),

  Install the support for the fog lights 

• Clip in the support (1) at the latch mechanisms (arrows).
• Insert the expanding rivets (3),
• Clip in the cable clip on the support (1) as needed,
• Tighten down screw (2).

• Install the trim (1) and engage it into the detents along the dotted line.

  • Install the ornamental grille in the lower center of the front bumper cover  .
