Remove the spindle drive of the trunk lid

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

CAUTION: Shutting hood or trunk lid .
Injury hazard!

Support hood/trunk lid in fully open position with the aid of a suitable device.

Remove the grommet (1) of the spindle drive (2) from the body panel (3).

Unlock and disconnect the plug connection (1) from the spindle drive (2) outside the body.

Open the top and bottom locks (1) and take out and remove the spindle drive (2) each time.
