65 12 090 Removing and installing/replacing the control unit for the Active Sound Design (ASD) - V.1 (Countryman 2017-2023, except PHEV)

Important: 

Read and comply with NOTES on protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD protection).

Preliminary work needed: 

• DISCONNECT cable from battery earth lead
• Remove LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHEEL ARCH TRIM PANEL ON LEFT .
• Remove the BOTTOM LEFT C-PILLAR TRIM PANEL .

Removal: 

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Unscrew the screws (2).

Remove Active Sound Design control unit (3).

Installation: 

Position Active Sound Design control unit (3) correctly.

Tighten down screws (2).

Connect and lock plug connection (1).

Replacement: 

Perform PROGRAMMING/CODING .

Required reworking: 

• Connect BATTERY GROUND LEAD .
• Install the BOTTOM LEFT C-PILLAR TRIM PANEL .
• Install LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHEEL ARCH TRIM PANEL, LEFT .
