65 12 072 Removing and installing/replacing amplifier (hi-fi system/Harman Kardon) - V.1 (Countryman 2017-2023, except PHEV)

Important: 

Read and comply with NOTES on protection against electrostatic discharge (ESD protection).

Preliminary work needed: 

• DISCONNECT cable from battery earth lead
• Remove TRUNK WHEEL ARCH PANEL ON LEFT .

Removal: 

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Unscrew nuts (2).

Lever the amplifier (3) out of the lower guide and remove it.

Remove screw (1).

Slide the amplifier (2) to detach and remove it from the holder (3).

Installation: 

Slide the amplifier (2) into the holder (3).

Tighten screw (1).

Tightening torque 3.0 Nm .

Install the amplifier (3) in the lower guide.

Tighten down nuts (2).

Tightening torque 8.0 Nm .

Connect and lock plug connection (1).

Replacement: 

Perform PROGRAMMING/CODING .

Required reworking: 

• Connect BATTERY GROUND LEAD .
• Install LEFT TRUNK WHEEL ARCH PANEL .
